INSTALLATION AND OPERATIONS
If you want to see one of our stampers in action, our friends at Lowe Corp in Hastings, New Zealand, have had our stampers operating for more than 10 years and have said that any international visitors who would like to see it in action are welcome to visit.
Our friends at Scottish Leather Group have also agreed to let interested parties look at the stamper operating in their factory. Contact us if you would like to visit either of these to see the stamper.
Delivery, Installation and Commissioning
Each installation is planned to make the most efficient use of available space and labour.
The stamper manufactured by Richard Bass’s company Enginuity Engineering in their factory in Brisbane, Australia, is packed in a steel box suitable for air freight before delivery.
We either send a technician to supervise installation, commissioning and training or if COVID precludes this, we can give installation instructions and training through remote communications. Installation is usually a very smooth process. For example, in one installation in South Africa, the machine was up and running shortly after lunch on the first day.

Low Maintenance
The maintenance is minimal, being a daily wash down and a light spray with penetrating oil.
The recommended wash down procedure is shown in this video. As you can see, the Gibson Bass Hide Stamper is made to be tough and to withstand abattoir and tannery conditions.
Apart from the occasional top-up of hydraulic fluid, there are no consumables in running the stamper.
Sometimes an O ring may need to be changed. We have put a lot of work into making the various parts of the stamper that contain O rings easily accessible to reduce any possible downtime
